PACKET PICK-UP

There are 3 options for picking up your race packet. Your QR code from your confirmation email is needed to pick up your race packet.

Option 1

 

Pick up your race packet in person prior to the race at:

Friday, May 9 (12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.)

Option 2

 

Have a friend or family member pick up your race packet for you by presenting your QR code prior to the race (location, dates, and times listed above).

Option 3

 

Race Day Packet Pick-Up. For $10 per race packet, you can pick up your race packet on race day at the race site before the event from 7:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m. You can sign up for this service during the registration process.

Please note only those who register for Race Day Packet Pick-Up will be able to pick up their race packet on race day.

 

RACE DAY DETAILS

On race day, be sure to allow enough time to check in (e.g., parking, gear check, etc.) before the race. We recommend participants arrive at least 45 minutes before the start of the race.

Participants are encouraged to carpool or use public transportation to the race site. If you drive, please allow sufficient time for heavy traffic and street closures due to the race.

Weather Policy

 

The Under Armour Women’s Run will take place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather (e.g., lightning) or other conditions that may affect the safety and health of participants, race officials reserve the right to delay, postpone, or cancel the race.

Timing

 

The Under Armour Women’s Run will feature the B-Tag Chronotrack timing system. All participants will receive a B-Tag timing device with their bib number.

Course Time Limit

 

Please note all participants must maintain a 15:00 minute per mile pace or faster.

 

Triple Medal Challenge

Take the 15K Triple Medal Challenge (5K + 10K = 15K) and earn 3 amazing finisher medals.

What is this?

 

On race day, put those muscles to work in this epic 15K (9.3 mile) challenge by completing both the 5K and 10K. If you finish both races, you will be awarded the coveted 15K Triple Medal Challenge finisher medal in addition to your 5K and 10K finisher medals. That’s right, triple your bling and walk away victorious.

To Qualify

 

1) Register for the 15K Triple Medal Challenge. Registering for the 5K and 10K individually will not make you eligible to receive the 15K Triple Medal Challenge finisher medal.

2) First complete the 5K (starting at 8:00 a.m.) and then complete the 10K (starting at 9:00 a.m.).

3) Maintain at least a 15 minute per mile pace in the 5K to ensure you are lined up in time for the 10K start.

VOLUNTEER

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2025 Under Armour Women’s Run. Volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the event and will assist with various aspects of the race, including:

Packet Pick-Up

 

Assist with distributing race packets and receive a free entry to the 5K or 10K. Your registration will be completed after your volunteer shift.

Race Day

 

Race day group volunteers lend a hand in event activities including but not limited to:

  • Course Marshal

  • Start line and finish line support

  • Aid Station support

  • Gear Check

  • Course set up and tear down

  • Packet Pick-Up

  • Water and Gatorade station support

  • Clean up

The beneficiary of the 2025 Under Armour Women’s Run is Special Olympics Chicago | Special Children’s Charities.

About

 

Created in 1969, Special Children's Charities serves thousands of Chicagoans with intellectual disabilities by providing millions of dollars annually for year-round athletic competition and sports training programs administered by the Chicago Park District, the Chicago Public Schools, and various agencies throughout the City of Chicago. 

Special Children’s Charities also provides life-enriching programs such as a Creative Arts Therapy Program through CPS, an After 22 Project through City Colleges of Chicago, an athlete-produced cable access television show, and a series of popular online events, like online cooking and art classes. 

Participants are of all ages, live in all 77 neighborhoods of the city, the majority of whom live at or below the poverty line.

REFUND POLICY

Refund Policy

 

All registrations are nonrefundable. No exceptions. As with all events, proceeds from the event are used to cover the numerous nonrefundable pre and post-race expenses required to produce the event (e.g., venue rental, city permits, park district permits, medical personnel, police and traffic control, security, participant shirts, finisher medals, bib numbers, timing chips, equipment rental, participant food and refreshments, tents and staging, event staff, signage, event supplies, portable restrooms, etc.).

Weather Policy

 

The Under Armour Women’s Run will take place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather (e.g., lightning) or other conditions that may affect the safety and health of participants, race officials reserve the right to delay, postpone, or cancel the race.

Lightning Policy

 

In the event of lightning, the race will be postponed 30 minutes if lightning is detected within a 10 mile radius. Additionally, every time lightning is detected within a 10 mile radius, the 30 minute timing increment will restart.

 

F.A.Q.

Can I get a refund?

 

All registrations are nonrefundable. No exceptions.

Can I walk the race?

 

Walkers are welcome to participate. Please note all participants must maintain a 15:00 minute per mile pace or faster.

Where can I find my bib number?

 

Bib numbers will be assigned at Packet Pick-Up.

Can a third party pick up my race packet?

 

Yes, a third party can pick up your race packet during the designated Packet Pick-Up times. To do so, they will need to present a copy of your unique QR code.

Can I exchange my shirt size at Packet Pick-Up?

 

Unfortunately, no. Race shirts have already been ordered and we need to honor what everyone ordered. On race day, we'll bring any extra shirts to the race site. Once the race has started, and assuming we have your size, we'll be happy to exchange it for you.

Can race packets be mailed?

 

Mailing race packets is not an option. If you are unable to pick up your race packet, we suggest having a third party pick it up for you. To do so, they will need to present a copy of your unique QR code
